Metabolomics Center
The metabolomics center performs qualitative and quantitative analysis for metabolites and small molecules (typically with molecular weight of less than 1500 Da) using liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry (LC-MS). Currently the center is equipped with Agilent 6495 QqQ and 6540 QTOF instruments and we provide comprehensive metabolomics services including targeted metabolite assays, lipidomics analysis, untargeted metabolomic profiling, and MS-based compound identification. At the same time, we are introducing and developing new analytical methods to increase the sensitivity, accuracy and coverage of metabolomics. We hope to apply these techniques to the basic biological research and provide novel insights into various biological questions.
