Research Description
The long term-interest of our laboratory concerns interactions between plants and pathogenic microbes. The research uses the Arabidopsis-Pseudomonas syringae model system to address the following fundamental questions. How do plants sense pathogens and activate innate immune responses? What are the molecular mechanisms underlying these processes? How do pathogen virulence proteins overcome host immunity?
